ACE Program Advisory Board

Paul Hoover, Advisor

Paul Hoover

Paul finished the 2007 season splitting time in the big leagues with the Florida Marlins and Triple-A Albuqurque. He attended Kent State University where he was a three-year baseball letterman. Paul is another Advisory board member who has played multiple positions at the highest level, which provides us with a great resource. His major accomplishments include:

  • Finished the 2006 season with 6 home runs, threw out 35 would-be base stealers (most in the PCL) and batted .417 with 12 RBI with the bases loaded. He was called up to Florida for the second time on September 4th.
  • Spent the entire 2005 campaign in Triple-A Durham in the Tampa Bay Devil Rays organization, where he hit .233 in 79 games with 17 doubles, five home runs, and 26 RBI. Paul played six different positions with the Bulls; catcher, first base, second base, third base, leftfield, and rightfield.
  • In 2004, Paul split time between the Montreal and Tampa Bay organizations. He started the year playing for Triple-A Edmonton, where he hit .289 with one homer, had a season-high four hits on May 28 against Sacramento and drove in a season-high four runs June 24 at Tucson. After signing and playing just 16 games with the Bulls, he collected four multi-hit games and two multi-RBI games.
  • Hit .375 in 3 Major League games with the Florida Marlins in 2007.  Also accumulated a .292 average, 4 HR's, and 21 RBI in 31 games for Triple-A Albuqurque.
