Scott Malinowski

 

 

 

Scott Malinowski, Advisor

"Using the ACE Program's services should be a no-brainer for any youth coach.  Its resources and curriculum are second to none and are proven to help youth coaches efficiently teach the great game of baseball.  The ACE Program is accessible in such a convenient manner making it easy for any coach to take advantage of its services."

Scott is currently an assistant coach for the Ohio University Bobcats, though joining the Ohio Baseball coaching staff in 2004 as the graduate assistant coach. Scott was a four year starter for the Bobcats from 1995-98. Scott's accomplishments and experience include:

  • Helping lead Ohio U. to a Mid-American Conference championship in 1997 as a junior when he hit .318 with two home runs, 34 RBIs and 21 doubles.
  • He also proved a gem in the field, committing only four errors at second base and earning the team's most outstanding defensive player award. For his career, Malinowski ranks in the top ten in several school records, including fifth in games played (206), fourth in hits (218), second in doubles (53) and eighth in total bases (299).
  • After his Bobcat career, he signed with the New York Mets and played two years for the Port St. Lucie (Fla.) Mets and the Capital City (S.C.) Bombers. Malinowski then began his coaching career with the Durham Braves of the Coastal Plain League. He also was an instructor for the C.F. Swingtown Baseball Academy in Orland Park, IL.
  • Malinowski graduated from Ohio in 2000 with a bachelor's degree in sport industry and earned a master's degree in education in 2006.
